Product Description

Features

  1. High power, Small body size.
  2. Excellent pulse characteristics.
  3. Flameproof painting, resistant to heat & solvents.
  4. Very low inductance (less than 1 μH).

Product Positioning and Core Use

The NRSS series is a small-type anti-pulse non-inductive resistor designed for electronic circuits requiring pulse resistance and low inductance characteristics. It features flameproof painting and resistance to heat and solvents. With inductance below 1 μH, the resistor is suitable for circuit positions where low parasitic inductance and pulse performance are required.

The series references IEC 60115-4 and JIS C 5201-4 and provides a compact 1/2W resistor option for electronic component sourcing and engineering selection.

NRSS 1/2W ±2% Non-Inductive Resistor Anti-Pulse Low Inductance Flameproof

Key Performance Characteristics

Low Inductance

The NRSS series provides inductance below 1 μH, making it suitable for circuit designs where low parasitic inductance is important. Its non-inductive configuration provides a practical low-inductance resistor solution for relevant electronic circuits.

Anti-Pulse Performance

The product is specified with excellent pulse characteristics. Its short-time overload test includes a load of 16 times the rated wattage for 5 minutes, providing a defined test condition for short-duration overload performance.

Flameproof Coating

The resistor uses flameproof painting and is designed to resist heat and solvents. This makes the component suitable for circuit sections where flameproof coating and environmental resistance are required.

Application Areas

Pulse Protection Circuits

The resistor can be used in circuit positions where the component needs to withstand pulse or short-duration overload conditions.

Low-Inductance Electronic Circuits

With inductance below 1 μH, the component can be applied to circuit positions where parasitic inductance needs to be controlled and a non-inductive resistor is required.

Compact Electronic Equipment

The small-type construction provides a compact 1/2W resistor option for PCB and electronic equipment designs where component size is an important consideration.

Flameproof Circuit Sections

The flameproof coating can be used in circuit sections where flameproof characteristics, heat resistance and solvent resistance are required.

Engineering Selection Notes

For the 1/2W version, the specified resistance range is 0.22Ω–200kΩ, with a maximum overload voltage of 250V and maximum working voltage of 400V. The rated continuous working voltage should be determined by the lower value of the rated power multiplied by resistance or the listed maximum working voltage.

When the ambient temperature exceeds 70°C, the rated power should be derated according to the specified derating curve.
